ArtBox PROCESS Residency: Naomi Draper
Dates: 1st-20th July
“Over the residency period the fields of the north inner city will present new sites for research. Exploring the species that occupy these landscapes, I will collect material for the development of works. During my time in Artbox I will invite “gatherings of people and plants” to participate and investigate methods to preserve, record and document findings.” Artist, Naomi Draper.
The ArtBox Process residency allows for an artist to spend time within the gallery space to develop a specific work, often reflecting the environment of the gallery location. There is an opportunity for the work to be shown at the end of the residency. Process residencies are on-going and artists are selected by the gallery team. ArtBox is a not for profit arts initiative supported by Dublin City Council’s Vacant Spaces Scheme. ArtBox is funded by Dublin City Council under the Project Award.
